PURE is NOVA’s Current Research Information System (CRIS), powering the NOVA Research Portal by consolidating and displaying research outputs from NOVA’s academic community. This system collects and showcases publications, activities, media impact, and awards, ensuring visibility for the university’s research contributions.
This training session will provide an introduction to PURE and equip you with the tools needed to manage your profile and research outputs effectively.
What You Will Learn
✅ Understanding PURE and its role in research visibility
✅ Populating your PURE profile, including adding a biography, connecting your ORCID and Scopus ID and linking external profiles (Google Scholar, personal websites, etc.).
✅ Managing Research Outputs in PURE:
- Setting up automated searches to import research outputs
- Other methods of adding/importing publications
- Ensuring open access and grant compliance
- Understanding the validation and verification process
About Salima Rehemtula
Since September 2022, Salima Rehemtula has been the Coordinator of the Library and Museum Management Office at IHMT-NOVA.
From 2019 to August 2022, she led the Impact Department within the Office for Research, Innovation, and Impact Strategy at the NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT-NOVA). Prior to that, since 2009, Salima coordinated the Information Systems Management Section within the Documentation and Culture Division at the same institution.
Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in local, national, and international initiatives promoting Open Science. Notably, she contributed to the implementation of the NOVA University Lisbon Repository (RUN), the CRIS systems Converis and PURE, and the Blimunda Project—a national initiative funded by FCCN-FCT, IP, aimed at mapping the self-archiving policies of Portuguese publishers and scientific journals regarding institutional repositories.
She holds a degree in Applied Chemistry, a postgraduate qualification in Information and Documentation Sciences, and has pursued doctoral studies in the same field.
