Following previous years and maintaining the growing trend, 2022 was an excellent year in terms of scientific production and approved projects, with 59 ongoing projects and 12 new projects approved. Our 62 researchers (57.70 FTEs) published 203 internationally referenced articles, with a weighted citation impact for the scientific area of 1.70% above the world average, reinforcing the significant increase in the worldwide impact of GHTM’s scientific publications, as well as our contribution to all SDGs, with a special focus on SDG3 – Good Health and Well-being. Part of this research was based on the strengthening of postgraduate training with 11 new doctors in 2022, contributing to the strengthening of our global network of teaching and research in global health and tropical medicine.
