GHTM Session | LABTROP – Common Laboratory Platform: Updates and New Implementation Processes

September 6, 2025

📅 Date: 17 September 2025
🕒 Time: 11:00-13:00
📍 Location: ZOOM & Sala Fraga de Azevedo | IHMT-NOVA

The common laboratory platform of GHTM, LABTROP, was created to reduce costs, improve result quality, increase efficiency and rational use of resources, strengthen quality control, standardize processes, and foster scientific collaboration among the Unit’s members and research groups.

At present, most of the LABTROP equipment has already been identified, catalogued, and mapped to their respective locations. The next step underway is the integration of Agendo Science, an online platform designed to manage reservations in scientific support units, such as core facilities. Through Agendo, LABTROP users will be able to schedule equipment usage, manage related requests, and access data linked to their reservations.

This GHTM session will provide members with an update on the progress made so far in establishing LABTROP, an overview of how the Agendo platform will be implemented, and the next steps toward consolidating the platform. These include appointing responsible members for specific equipment, and developing rules of use and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

This session will be hosted by Professor Pedro Cravo, coordinatior of LABTROP.

This session is intended for GHTM members, who will receive further details by e-mail.
