The VEuPathDB community invites researchers, students, and other interested participants to join the 2026 Free VEuPathDB Virtual Workshop, taking place online from 8 to 11 December 2026, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm UTC each day.
This hands-on workshop will combine live demonstrations with guided practical exercises in breakout rooms, providing participants with the opportunity to explore VEuPathDB resources and learn how to use these tools for research on eukaryotic pathogens and related organisms.
Workshop Programme
Each day will focus on different tools and analytical approaches:
- Day 1 – Tuesday, 8 December: Introduction and overview, gene pages, and search strategies.
- Day 2 – Wednesday, 9 December: The genome browser and gene models.
- Day 3 – Thursday, 10 December: Transcriptomics, proteomics, single-cell RNA sequencing (RNA-seq), and orthology.
- Day 4 – Friday, 11 December: Analysing your own data using user-uploaded datasets.
Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the platform. However, registration for individual sessions is also possible.
