Alexandre Manguele holds a degree in Medicine from Eduardo Mondlane University (Mozambique) and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Leeds (UK). He is currently pursuing a PhD in International Health at IHMT-NOVA. He is finishing his fourth article and his PhD thesis, both focused on the strikes of doctors and other healthcare professionals in Mozambique in 2013. Additionally, he has worked at various levels within the National Service of Mozambique, from district to national.

His current research focuses are human resources in health and Labor Strikes in Sub-Saharan Africa and Mozambique.
