As part of the strategy to support NOVA’s commitment to Sustainability, the first edition of NOVA Sustainability Week has already begin. This face-to-face event, exclusive to the NOVA community, is an opportunity to get to know several activities that NOVA develops in alignment with the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development and to promote synergies.
NOVA recognises the importance of sustainability practices and assumes in its missions, teaching and training, research and development, and in the creation of value and impact in the community; as well as in its infrastructures and services.
Although NOVA community – teachers, researchers, students and non-teaching staff – has already developed a wide range of activities related to sustainability, NOVA has an enormous potential to increase its impact on the scientific, innovation, social and economic agendas for Sustainability.
The main purpose of this event is to aggregate the several Schools and potentiate the crossing of inter and multidisciplinary opportunities, for example around the Sustainable Development Goals in which they already work.
During this week, GHTM-IHMT researchers will participate in this initiative by presenting the most relevant projects regarding sustainability: IANDA, CLIMOS and WHO Centre.
NOVA Sustainability Week will occur between 12 and 16 September at Campolide Campus, and aims to act as a transformative opportunity for all who want to align their activity with the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
