Simone Ladeia-Andrade, MD, holds a MSc and a PhD in Tropical Health from Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) – University of São Paulo, Brazil. In 2022, she is starting her research career as a member of the Individual Health Care Research Group (IHC) at the Global Health and Tropical Medicine Research Centre (GHTM).

 

Dr. Simone researches under the Health Sciences’ umbrela comprehending the areas of Medicine and Public Health, particularly: Clinical Medicine – specialty: Infectious and Parasitic Diseases; Epidemiology; and Public Health. Current researcher in public health by the Laboratory of Parasitic Diseases of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute, Fiocruz, with research focused on tropical diseases and populations of the Amazon region, notably field studies in clinical, epidemiology, treatment and control of malaria.
