European Researchers’ Night 2025 • September 26th

September 5, 2025

Join GHTM | IHMT NOVA on September 26th 2025 for an evening dedicated to science, full of interactive and engaging activities.

Just like in previous years, GHTM | IHMT NOVA will once again take part in the European Researchers’ Night. Happening on September 26th, 2025, this Europe-wide initiative brings science closer to society, fostering dialogue between researchers and people of all ages. With a free and varied program, it invites everyone to explore science in an engaging, accessible, and hands-on way, across many European cities at the same time.

The goal of this initiative is to highlight the vital role of research in tackling today’s challenges, while raising awareness of how science shapes our daily lives. It also seeks to spark curiosity about research careers, especially among young people. Through interactive experiments, learning activities, and moments of knowledge-sharing, the European Researchers’ Night helps to demystify science and celebrate the diversity that defines Europe’s scientific community.

This year, GHTM | IHMT NOVA will be present in two locations, offering activities designed to involve the public and showcase some of the science carried out at the institute: Marina de Oeiras, in Oeiras (4:00 pm – 10:00 pm), and Pavilhão do Conhecimento – Centro Ciência Viva, in Lisbon (7:00 pm – 00:00 am).

With this participation, GHTM | IHMT NOVA reaffirms its commitment to promoting science and engaging society in the key issues shaping health research. We warmly invite everyone to join us at this event.
