Helga Vicente, GHTM PhD student, was selected for the «Top Female Founders», funded by EU

August 2, 2023

GHTM PhD student was selected for participantion in the Top Female Founders

Helga Vicente, a native of Angola, a PhD student in International Health at the IHMT-NOVA (ref. UI/BD/154467/2022, from Fundação para a Ciência e Técnologia, FCT), was selected among 280 candidates from European Union to participate in a training program for young women in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship in health, called Top Female Founders.

Empowerment, strategy toolkit, business literacy and communications skills are the hot topics of this program, in which the attendants will have the opportunity to be part of a unique network, and gain access to leaders in big pharma, consultancy and patient organizations.

Helga Vicente – a GHTM member that has been developing her project in collaboration between IHC and PPS-GHTM Research Groups –, proposed to the Top Female Founders an approach to address SDG 3, and will now participate in the e-learning activities and, later on, on the onsite activities in Vienna, Austria.

GHTM congratulates Helga Vicente, and encourages other students to learn more about this program:
