My primary areas of interest are tuberculosis, malaria, schistosomiasis, and cholera, with a focus on their epidemiology, clinical aspects, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. I am also actively involved in travel medicine, providing pre- and post-travel advice, and humanitarian medicine as the Director of “Médicos do Mundo” for about 10 years. Additionally, I have participated in numerous official cooperation missions in Portuguese-speaking countries, which have enriched my understanding of tropical diseases.
