On September 21 and 22, the IHMT hosted the 1st Meeting of the Management Committee of the Project “Towards an arsenic-free oral treatment for human African trypanosomiasis due to Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense as a tool for disease elimination”, under coordination of Professor Jorge Seixas. The initiative was organized by the Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative (DNDi), and was attended by experts from the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement; Makerere University; Malawi Ministry of Health and Population; Uganda National Health Research Organization; and the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute.
