To fight against antimalarial drug resistance and some other challenges present for eradicating malaria, the NANOMALARIA group has proposed the use of nanotechnological tools to specifically deliver the drug to the malaria parasite. However, targeting the parasite inside its host is a big challenge and the use of antibodies for therapy is very costly, so we are exploring some different approaches to develop new targeting molecules and studying their potential for therapy or other applications.
