CIÊNCIAVITAE Introduces New Feature for Exporting Ongoing Records

January 14, 2026

Starting the year with a user-focused improvement, CIÊNCIAVITAE launches a highly anticipated feature designed to simplify research reporting: the ability to export ongoing records. This functionality streamlines data management and supports scientific work in a more comprehensive and efficient way.

This feature significantly facilitates the preparation of annual scientific reports. Users can now include in their exports all records that:

  • Started in the selected year,
  • Ended in the selected year, or
  • were ongoing during that period.

By enabling a more flexible and complete overview of scientific activity, this improvement makes the process of reporting and submitting scientific information simpler, more comprehensive and better aligned with the needs of the academic and scientific community.

Explore this new feature now in your CIÊNCIAVITAE profile and simplify your annual reports!

About CIÊNCIAVITAE

CIÊNCIAVITAE, the national system for managing scientific curricula in Portugal, was developed under the PTCRIS programme by FCCN, the digital services of FCT. The PTCRIS programme aims to promote the sustained development of an integrated ecosystem for managing information on national scientific activity.

Within this framework CIÊNCIAVITAE plays a central role, supporting the modernisation and simplification of administrative processes based on CV data. The platform enables researchers to create, manage and promote their CVs quickly and easily.

CIÊNCIAVITAE is intended for all individuals — Portuguese or foreign — who work in an academic or research context in Portugal.

Based on the concept of scientific citizenship, it provides a privileged space for interaction between citizens and science, functioning as an integrated, personalised repository of an individual’s scientific career.
