In collaboration with the ACES Amadora the project was launched on the 9th of April at the Amadora Municipal Library in a meeting attended by health professionals representing all 9 USFs and UCSPs of the ACES. The meeting was a platform to present and discuss the main objectives and implementation of the study which aim to improve the scarce knowledge available on immigrant children health in Portugal. By evaluating the socio-demographic and health profiles of third-country nationals immigrant children in Amadora municipality over a period of two years, comparing the immigrant children with the non-immigrant and establishing the determinants of immigrant children access and utilisation of health services, the study aims, in addition, to provide key contributions for tackling health inequalities.
