Obtained the Certificate of Knowledge of the International Society of Travel Medicine in 2019 and the Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (Royal College of Physicians, UK) in 2019.
Particularly interested in the fields of Tropical Medicine, Global Health, Travel Medicine, emergent and zoonotic diseases, and One Health.
Currently working on zoonotic vector-borne diseases – PhD projects dedicated to studying the epidemiology of Leishmania infection in Portugal and describing the clinical presentation and management of leishmaniasis in Portugal.
