ProfileResearchTop Publications

Graduated in Biomedicine from the Federal University of Pará in 2003, and subsequently earned a Master’s degree in 2006 and a Ph.D. in 2012 in Biology of Infectious and Parasitic Agents from the same institution. I have extensive experience in Microbiology, particularly in Medical Microbiology and Parasitology. My expertise encompasses molecular and serological diagnostics of malaria, molecular diagnostics of tuberculosis, and epidemiological studies of HCV. My research primarily focuses on malaria, human genetics, and the characterization of KIR genes. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor III in the Parasitology discipline at the Institute of Biological Sciences, Federal University of Pará. Additionally, I am a permanent faculty member and vice-coordinator of the Professional Master’s Program in Clinical Analysis (PPGAC).

Vector-borne diseases, host-parasite interactions, and human immunogenetics.
