He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences – (Licenciatura and Bachelor’s degree) from Universidade Estadual Paulista – Júlio de Mesquita Filho – UNESP Jaboticabal (2006). Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences (Cellular and Molecular Biology) from Universidade Estadual Paulista – Júlio de Mesquita Filho – UNESP Rio Claro – SP (2010). PhD in Biological Sciences (Cellular and Molecular Biology) in 2013, at the same institution, with a sandwich period at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA-Rafaela, Argentina). He holds a postdoctoral degree in Veterinary Pathology at Universidade Estadual Paulista – Júlio de Mesquita Filho – UNESP Jaboticabal. He currently is postdoc at the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (IHMT) at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. He has experience in the area of Parasitology and Zoology, working mainly in the following subjects: biology, ecology, tick morphology and taxonomy, histology of tick´s internal organs, immune resistance of hosts to ticks, tick-pathogens interactions, tick control, molecular biology and proteomic.
