He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences – (Licenciatura and Bachelor’s degree) from Universidade Estadual Paulista – Júlio de Mesquita Filho – UNESP Jaboticabal (2006). Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences (Cellular and Molecular Biology) from Universidade Estadual Paulista – Júlio de Mesquita Filho – UNESP Rio Claro – SP (2010). PhD in Biological Sciences (Cellular and Molecular Biology) in 2013, at the same institution, with a sandwich period at the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA-Rafaela, Argentina). He holds a postdoctoral degree in Veterinary Pathology at Universidade Estadual Paulista – Júlio de Mesquita Filho – UNESP Jaboticabal. He currently is postdoc at the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (IHMT) at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. He has experience in the area of ​​Parasitology and Zoology, working mainly in the following subjects: biology, ecology, tick morphology and taxonomy, histology of tick´s internal organs, immune resistance of hosts to ticks, tick-pathogens interactions, tick control, molecular biology and proteomic.
