Dinamene Alexandra de Matos Oliveira holds a MSc in Tropical Health and a PhD in International Health – Tropical Public Health specialty – from the Institute of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine of the Nova University of Lisbon, Portugal. In 2022, she is starting her research career as a member of the Individual Health Care Research Group (IHC) at the Global Health and Tropical Medicine Research Centre (GHTM).

 

Dr. Oliveira’s research has addressed the epidemiology of intestinal parasites in children and a few sexually transmitted infectious diseases among pregnant women and newborns in Southern Angola.

PhD Thesis:

«Syphilis, HIV infection, hepatitis B and C in parturients from Irene Neto Maternity in Lubango, Angola, and their association with maternal, obstetric and newborn complications».

MSc Thesis:

«Prevalence of intestinal parasites in children attending primary school in Lucrécia neighbourhood, Lubango, Angola, and their relationship to nutritional status and anemia».
