The Global Health and Tropical Medicine (GHTM) is proud to highlight the participation of Professor Miguel Viveiros, Scientific Coordinator of the GHTM R&D Unit at the Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (IHMT NOVA), as the first face of the Portuguese Order of Biologists (Ordem dos Biólogos) campaign “Ser Biólogo. Da vida sabemos nós.” (“Being a Biologist. We Know Life.”).
A medical microbiology specialist and leading infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance researcher, Professor Miguel Viveiros’s scientific career exemplifies biology’s essential contribution to scientific advancement, innovation, and improved health outcomes.
