NOVA launches 2nd edition of “Sustainability for All” for students across all fields of study

January 16, 2026

GHTM | IHMT NOVA are please to share that Universidade NOVA de Lisboa has launch the 2nd edition of “Sustainability for All”, a course unit open to all NOVA students, regardless of their discipline. Designed to help students develop and deepen sustainability skills, the course offers both flexibility and academic recognition.

“Sustainability for All” provides students with a unique opportunity to explore topics across the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through engaging challenges and missions, gaining an interdisciplinary perspective on the interconnectedness of the SDGs. The course enables students to acquire essential fundamentals, skills, and tools critical to their professional development, while aligning their future career paths with the demands of today’s job market and contributing to a fairer, more sustainable society, regardless of their academic background.

The course adopts a flexible learning model, organised around missions that students can complete at their own pace throughout the semester. These are complemented by three in-person sessions, designed as key moments for sharing, collaboration, and joint learning.

Students can choose to take the course as a curricular unit or as an extracurricular activity, with recognition on the Diploma Supplement depending on the options defined by each School.

Key Dates

  • Registration open until: 10 February
  • Start date: 21 February
