IHMT NOVA Hosts Official Side Event Ahead of the 9th World One Health Congress 2026

May 29, 2026

As part of the 9th World One Health Congress 2026, the Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical (IHMT NOVA) will host the official side event “Integration of One Health Approaches in Tropical Medicine”, in Lisbon on 3 September 2026.

The event will bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and global health experts to promote interdisciplinary dialogue on integrating One Health principles into tropical medicine research, education, and practice. The programme will highlight innovative approaches addressing the interconnected challenges of human, animal, and environmental health.

The side event will take the form of a one-day training workshop focused on the integration of One Health approaches into Tropical Medicine. The workshop will be held in Portuguese and will take place on 3 September 2026 at IHMT NOVA, ahead of the official opening of the 9th World One Health Congress.

Through this initiative, IHMT NOVA, as an institutional partner and supporter of the Congress, demonstrates its commitment to advancing collaborative and interdisciplinary solutions to global health challenges.

Registration for the side event is open until 31 May 2026.
