Lisbon will host the 9th World One Health Congress (WOHC 2026) from 4 to 7 September 2026, gathering a global community of researchers, policymakers, and professionals dedicated to advancing the One Health approach. Organized by the Global One Health Community, this leading international event aims to strengthen collaboration at the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health.
Over four days, the Congress will feature a dynamic scientific programme with parallel thematic tracks covering One Health science, antimicrobial agents and resistance, and the science–policy interface, among other critical global health topics. The event will provide a platform for discussion on major One Health challenges, foster the exchange of cutting-edge research, and highlight policy developments shaping the future of health worldwide.
Ana Domingos, leader of the VBD-GHTM Research Group, will serve as a member of the Scientific Programme Committee, contributing her expertise to the design of the Congress agenda.
Through an open call for abstracts, scientists and experts from around the world can present innovative research and share new perspectives. The submission deadline for abstracts and session concept notes is 13 March 2026.
Registrations are now open, and participants can submit their contributions as part of the scientific programme.
