To celebrate the launch of the documentary Anopheles, GHTM | IHMT NOVA will host a special session featuring a screening of the film, followed by a brief discussion.
Filmed in São Tomé and Príncipe, the documentary explores the scientific research that supports the global fight against malaria. The documentary highlights an integrated approach that combines field and laboratory research on mosquito vectors. This approach also strengthens local scientific and technical capacity, and engages communities in developing new disease-control strategies.
The film features João Pinto, a researcher from the VBD-GHTM Research Group whose work contributes to the University of California Malaria Initiative (UCIMI). GHTM | IHMT NOVA is a partner in this international scientific collaboration.
Join us to watch the film and discuss how science can contribute to innovative, sustainable malaria prevention and control strategies.
If you are a GHTM member, you will receive the details of the session by e-mail. If you are not a GHTM member and would like to join the session, please contact us at ghtm-info@ihmt.unl.pt.
