Level and trends of zero-dose children in Mozambique
Gavi’s 5.0 vision, which seeks to ensure no one is left behind in immunization by 2030, draws inspiration from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aligns with the Immunisation Agenda 2030 (IA2030). Despite vaccination being offered free of charge in Mozambique, the country remains among the ten with the highest number of children who have not received any vaccine (zero-dose children).
In this lecture, I will give a brief overview of the main study focusing on the following aspects:
- Prevalence of zero-dose and time trends highlighting regional disparities and shifts over the years.
- Change in gaps of zero-dose prevalence over the years.
- Factors associated with zero-dose prevalence aiming to uncover barriers to vaccination access among the 12-23 months children.
