GHTM co-organises the 2nd International Webinar on Leishmaniasis in a One Health Perspective

June 26, 2026

The GHTM is pleased to announce the 2nd International Webinar “Leishmaniasis: From Immunity to the Development of New Therapies in a One Health Perspective”, which will take place on 6 July 2026, marking World Zoonoses Day.

This international initiative brings together researchers and experts from Portugal and Brazil to discuss the latest advances in leishmaniasis research, promoting an interdisciplinary dialogue that spans from the understanding of immune mechanisms to the discovery and development of innovative therapeutic strategies.

The webinar will highlight the importance of the One Health approach in tackling leishmaniasis, emphasising the need for integrated actions across human, animal and environmental health to strengthen disease prevention, surveillance and control.

The programme will feature renowned specialists from Portuguese and Brazilian institutions, fostering scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange between the two countries.
