Marcelo Simão Ferreira |Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, Brasil

Medicine Degree from the Federal University of Uberlândia. Full Professor of Tropical Medicine at the Federal University of Uberlândia and Director of the Division of Infectious Disease at the University Hospital. Former President of the Brazilian Societies of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases.  Specialist in Infectious and Parasitic Diseases with prominent performances in AIDS, Hepatitis, Opportunistic Infections, Fungal Infections (Histoplasmosis, Paracoccidioidomycosis), Leprosy and Chagas Disease. Recently awarded with the Emílio Ribas Medal, by the Brazilian Medical Association, for the relevant services rendered in Brazil in the area of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.
